Riding for a cause
The DGR is a charitable event raising awareness and funds for the Movember Foundation's men's health programs. The subjects Movember and DGR combat are listed below. More detailed information can be found here.
Prostate Cancer
Prostate Cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in men (after skin cancer). In some western countries, more men die of it than women die of breast cancer. The Movember Foundation is the largest organization supporting programs against this scourge, both educational and combative, in the world.
Know the risk factors:
Prostate cancer only affects men, as women do not have a prostate gland. Risk factors for developing the disease include:
Age - The older a man, the more likely he is to be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Family History - A man with a father or brother who developed prostate cancer is twice as likely to develop the disease.
Ethnicity - Increased occurrence in black African and Afro-Caribbean males.
Suicide Prevention and Mental Health
Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20-39. 75% of suicides are male. Worldwide, over half a million men die from suicide, this is a rate of one every minute. A horrifying statistic.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a niche charity event held on the last Sunday in September with smart-suited gentlefolk riding their Cafe' Racer, Bobber, Classic, Tracker, Scrambler, Old School Chopper, Modern Classic, Sidecar, Classic Scooter or Brat Styled motorcycles.
